Some Girls Do by Jennifer Dugan

There are so many tropes in the book community but in my opinion 'enemies to lovers' is the best, and "Some Girls Do" by Jennifer Dugan is the perfect example of the 'enemies to lovers' trope. Ruby, the annoying popular girl, hates her life with her troubled mother and being forced to do stuff that she doesn't want to do, so she takes out all her anger by by fixing up her adored car. But all changes when she meets Morgan, the new girl. Morgan is an amazing runner with a great family and life until she gets verbally abused for being gay. So she's in the process of sueing her old school but while this is happening she moved to a new school and meets Ruby. Throughout the book you will feel pain and sadness, it will make you laugh out loud, and will show you the importance of loving yourself for who you are and the importance of love. I loved this book so much because it is in the point of view of both Ruby and Morgan. I also like how the characters, especially Ruby, aren't perfect and how you might hate them one moment but love them the next. "Some Girls Do" also represents other teens who are part of the LGBTQ+ community and shows the issues that they go through. This book is perfect to read when you want to read a romance but also be in shock multiple times, which is very enjoyable.
