The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

The Hunger games is a very mature book however it is regarded as one of the best and most entertaining book series of all time and rightfully so. The author, (Suzanne Collins), is renowned for some of her other works such as Gregor and the Overlander.

There are few issues with this book other than pacing between action and non action pages. However other than that this book is perfect. I also definitely recommend reading the book before watching the movie. I also recommend Gregor and the overlander.

The reason why I enjoyed this book is because of the amazing characters as they each have their own defining trait and skill, it is also a very thrilling story with great elements of plot. The world is very well constructed and each chapter adds a new aspect to this already thrilling story.

Overall I give this book a 9 out of 10. I am so glad that I read this book before the movies because the book is so thrilling and entertaining that It just might be better than the movie. I would definitely reread because there are some moments that are timeless. This is a great book and It is one of my top five books of all time.

After reading the The Hunger Games, I would give it a 5 out 5 star rating. This is a great book for anyone who likes to read science fiction books. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys action packed books. The Hunger Games is about a girl names Katniss Everdeen. She lives in a place called Panama, where years ago the Capitol and the districts were at war against each other. The Capitol defeated the districts, and holds the Hunger Games every year to remind the districts of the victory. During Hunger Games, each district has two tributes picked, male and female, to fight to death until there is only one left standing. In District 12, where Katniss is from, Primrose Everdeen and Peeta Mellark are chosen. Katniss volunteers immediately in place of her half- sister Primrose. Katniss and Peeta are taken to the Capitol to train for the Hunger Games. After a few weeks of training, the tributes are put in the arena to fight to the death. Find out what happens to Katniss by reading the book!
