Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

Frankenstein is a sad story that conveys the themes of ambition, revenge, and the danger of knowledge. This novel tells a story about a creature that was made by a foolish scientist named Victor Frankenstein. Frankenstein broke the human law and created a human from scratch. Frankenstein did some really horrible things to the creature which arguably could have been the cause of why the creature went rogue. I would be honored to spend one day with the creature even though he killed many people because all he wanted was to feel loved. I would give the creature a big hug and let him know that there are a lot of people that will discriminate against him and fear him since he is not an average man, however he has to persevere and not take his anger out. A quote from the creature that was extremely important to the story and which I did not like was “If I cannot inspire love. I will create fear.”  This quote shocked me when I read it, The creature did everything he could to be loved but because of his distinctive physical characteristics, all people wanted to do was to run or kill him. Mary Shelley is an amazing author and I am looking forward into reading more of her books.
