Wonder by R. J. Palacio

Wonder by R.J Palacio Is a fun novel that displays bullying. I enjoyed how the book went in depth with August Pullman's life and how people saw him with his deformities. I liked how the book explained his real life illness. It really informed me of how people struggle with these disabilities and deformities. My favorite character was Auggie Pullman because he endured a lot of bullying but still managed to be a top notch student. Auggie persevered through the hard times and still was successful.

My least favorite character was Julian because he was a big bully for Auggie, he also made up a game and if you touched Auggie you had a virus. Many people in Beecher Prep ignored Auggie and were scared of him because Julian made rumors of Augiee. My favorite quote from Wonder is, “My mom smiled at me. Her smile kind of hugged me.” I found that quote very sweet because it showed that Augiees mom really loved him and she was the kindest person to him.

I found it really heartwarming that eventually the students of Beacher Prep accepted Auggie and were finally kind to him. I also loved that Auggie friend Jack had his back against bullies at all times and Jack and Auggie weren't afraid to fight against them. I really liked this novel and I rate it a 10/10.
