Love and Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch

“Love and Gelato”, by Jenna Evans Welch, is a great romance, adventure, and mystery. The book was very detailed and you can picture the images in your head. The author did a really good job of combining all three genres into one storyline. My favorite part of the book was the ending when Lina realized that she really liked Lorenzo. She went through a lot just to figure that out. My favorite character in the book was her father, Howard. He really tried his best to adjust and understand Lina. He put a lot of work just to get her to stay in Italy. My least favorite character was Matteo. He really seemed like a strict person and could not accept the truth. He wasn’t willing to understand that Lina was actually his daughter. He was a hard-hearted man. I loved reading this book and would probably take out another book from this author. The title of the book prepares you for what is coming. Mostly about love, her own love, and her mother’s love. The gelato part reminds me of ice cream and somewhere in Europe which is where this takes place. The cover really interests me too because it has two ice cream cones upside down with a heart in between. I would give this book a 5 out of 5.
