Don’t Get Caught by Kurt Dinan

Don’t Get Caught by Kurt Dinan is a hilarious book. It’s whole prank war plot really got me roped in. I liked how the humor in it also helped develop Max’s character. My favorite part of the book was when Max, Ellie, Kate (Malone), Tim (Adleta), and Wheeler pulled off their first caper in the cafeteria. It's my favorite part because it was the first time the team really realized they could take down the chaos club. Seeing as though the whole book was them trying to expose the Chaos Club, who had never been caught before, and also trying to pull off the pranks and not get caught, the title of the book makes a lot of sense. I liked how he added the heist rules to the book.  I think the book could have been a little better if he had described the Water Tower 5 a little more so it would be easier to visualize them. My favorite character was Adleta. He was my favorite because he was loyal and never doubted the team. I also felt really bad for Adleta because Stanko and his father was always so hard on him for everything he did, even when he did everything he was supposed to, and because they gave him no freedom of choice. I also like Boyd because he was willing to help them with anything they asked. My least favorite character was Stranko because of how quick he was to blame them and get them suspended, also by how much of how mean he was as a person. I loved the twist at the end and I really wasn’t expecting it, even though looking back it was foreshadowed. Overall it was a really good, funny book and I like how it took the prank war topic to another level. I really hope there’s a sequel.
