Neighborhood Girls by Jessie Ann Foley

The book “Neighborhood Girls” was a really interesting book with thrills and surprises inside that you would never expect. My favorite character, Wendy Boychuck, was faced with many hard decisions and did not always make the best choices. When she decides to make a good decision and chooses to turn her life around and not walk around all sad, it then brings on a whole new set of decisions she will have to make. Unfortunately, she does not always choose the best decision, if any at all. The worst decision she made was picking a fake, mean person to become friends with, along with two of the same types of girls. Out of those three girls, came a toxic friendship, and Wendy wishes she kept her best friend of nine years and not just tossed her away. Although it shows another one of her bad decisions, my favorite part was all the action when she came home from a party and got jumped. The author really described the whole situation well, making the scene suspenseful and exciting. I felt the fear and pain that Wendy experienced. I would rate this book a four out of five stars. The reason I only gave 4 stars was, even though ninety percent of the book had thrills and excitement, there were some parts of the story that were not as exciting. I would recommend this story to people who like the typical teenage drama stories.
