Words in Deep Blue by Cath Crowley

For years Rachel Sweetie has had a crush on a boy named Henry Jones. The day before she moved, she wrote a letter saying how much she loved him and tucked it into his favorite book in his family’s bookshop. She has waited for years, but he never responded. Rachel now lives in the city working in Henry’s bookshop hoping to not see him.
Rachel has had a bright future ahead of her till her brother, whom she loved very much, drowned. Now she is depressed and can’t feel anything. Henry also had a great future ahead with his girlfriend planning to travel the world till she broke up with him saying she liked someone else. Henry spent all his money trying to get their tickets and even though they split apart he still loved her. In the bookshop Henry and Rachel sent letters to each other through books. It's possible the letters will lead them to a second chance at love.
In this book Rachel is my favorite character because even when she was going through hard times she helped her friends too along the way. I would give this book a five out of five because it shows that friendship is important and everyone deserves and second chance. Words in Deep Blue was definitely a good book and I would recommend it to my friends to show how friends can still support each other through difficult times.
