The Sin-Eater’s Confession  falls under the category Teen Fiction.  The novel begins with Ben’s introduction; he joined the Marines after an incident occurred over two years ago.  A drunken night caused the death of a friend.  This death leaves the family without help.  Ben’s father helps Mr. and Mrs. Lange with their farm.  Ben is not sure if he wants to help the LangesJacket.aspx and their son Jimmy.  When Jimmy takes pictures of Ben without permission, winning a photography contest; rumors start that Jimmy is a homosexual.  When Ben is the witness of a crime and does nothing, his life is disrupted.  He begins to doubt everything-himself, what he desires, and reality.

My favorite character is Jimmy.  He is my favorite because he loves photography.  My favorite scene is when Parker states, “How people react is going to be based on how you react.”

I give this book a 5/10 because I didn’t enjoy this kind of novel.  I would recommend this book to particular friends.
