The Living is the first book in a series. The novel is about a boy named Shy who is just a guy looking to make money and meet girls. Everything was going great until the biggest earthquake ever hit California. Life was not about making money to pay for bills, but about fighting to survive.
My favorite character is Shy. Shy is my favorite character because he fights to live and doesn’t want to give up. My favorite scene is in the beginning when we are first introduced to Shy and Rodney, where it all started.
I rate this novel an 8/10 because it was outstanding except for the ending. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends.
