Dear Life, You Suck by Scott Bladgen

JacketThe book Dear Life, You Suck is about a boy, Cricket Cherpin’s life.  Cricket is an orphan that is now sheltered in what he calls “prison.”  Some people don’t like Cricket.  His enemy, Pitbull, gets into a fight with him.  This affects Cricket emotionally and physically.  Cricket does not like fighting unless it is to protect what he calls “the little ones.”  Cricket has to go through a lot.  I really like this book because the author made it seem like a 17 year-old was really telling the story.  The grammar and the words really tell the type of person Cricket is.  I also like how everything is realistic like the real world; it almost sounds as if Cricket’s story was real and he was telling it.  I think it’s a great book and you should read it.
