In this story, the eight girls from each grade are put on The List during homecoming week at Mount Washington High School. The list goes from the prettiest girl to the ugliest girl. This will now unravel the emotions from the girls at the high school. Some are happy, some are sad, and to be honest, some are even more than sad – they are angry to the point where they now say they don’t even care. But we all know that’s not true. I thought that this book showed teens’ reactions to things and what they undergo through judging other girls. I liked reading this because I felt that this showed me a perspective that I have never seen before. The girls at my school don’t keep any list, but after reading this book and experiencing all the girls’ emotions, I have learned that it’s not worth trying to be on any list. I think that this book will help other teen girls to become more aware of how they shouldn’t worry about their looks.
